Challenge: A large US based IT company has no local resources to monitor the environmental policy and legal compliance issues in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine. Its special areas of interests are legal requirements on the product and packaging design, “end-of-life” legislation (EPR), chemicals (RoHS, REACH) and energy efficiency.
Solution: CEEREC revised the existing and planned legislation as per areas of interests and developed a set of recommendations to ensure the client is compliant with the legal regulations and the business risks are minimized. CEEREC monitors the legal developments in the respective countries; findings are reported regularly to the Client with the appropriate recommendations to act. CEEREC also supports in the local environmental reporting implementation.
Outcome: The client is legally compliant, and the business risks are minimized; also, the client is informed on the legal developments and can adjust its sustainability and commercial strategies and activities in the respective countries accordingly.
